We publish original research, reviews and short communications by high school and undergraduate students. Every paper that passes screening is reviewed double-blind by at least one independent reviewer, and every author receives a written report.

How a Paper Moves through Review
- 01You submit
Your anonymized manuscript and the required statements. The review clock starts when the $30 submission fee is paid.
- 02Integrity Checks
Required statements, parent or guardian consent for authors under 18, and an editor’s check for originality.
- 03Screening within 3 days
Sent to peer review, or declined with a written reason.
- 04Double-blind review
An independent reviewer scores six criteria and writes a full report. A decision within 14 days, or 7 with expedited review.
- 05Revise and publish
One round of revisions within 10 days, then typesetting and open-access publication in the next issue.
Example: what you'll see on your status page
- Received. Submission fee paid.
- Parent consent received. Required statements complete.
- Under review. Passed screening.
- Reviewer report received. Decision: minor revisions.
- Accepted. Revised paper approved.
- Published in Volume 1, Issue 1.
Know Your Issue before You Submit
Six issues a year, on the 15th of every other month. Pick the day you plan to submit and see which issue your paper is considered for. One round of revisions fits each cycle.

Reviewers check research integrity first, then score originality, methods, data and analysis, conclusions, clarity and significance from 1 to 5. Every score level has a written description, so you can check your paper against the same standards before you submit.

An editor checks every paper for originality and completeness before it goes to review. If plagiarism is found, the paper is rejected immediately, no fees are refunded, and the authors are barred from future submissions. If it is found after publication, the article is publicly retracted.

- Originality checkEvery paper is checked by the editor before review.
